“Let me introduce myself—I’m Marni Sugerman, and I’ve always had a passion for beautiful interiors. It’s no surprise, as design is in my genes. I grew up visiting my grandfather’s furniture showrooms and listening to stories of market trips and new introductions. Exceptional quality and timeless design have fascinated me from an early age.

After earning my BFA in textiles from the prestigious Rhode Island School of Design, I spent over twelve years designing luxurious fabrics for leading home furnishing companies such as American Silk Mills, Springs Industries, and Covington Fabrics. Seeing my work showcased at High Point Market was a full-circle moment and deeply rewarding.

Seven years ago, I returned to interior design full-time and opened my own design studio in Larchmont, NY. This creative space has allowed me to expand, display an extensive library of samples, and welcome clients in a truly inspiring environment. Along the way, I’ve been honored with design awards and, more importantly, have built lasting relationships with clients I adore.

Before transitioning into the interior design world, Barrie enjoyed a successful career in the fashion industry as a dress designer. Her background in fashion brings a unique perspective to our work—her understanding of form, texture, and proportion translates beautifully into the interiors she helps bring to life. She has a natural instinct for pairing design elements, a gift honed through years of working with fabrics, color palettes, and trends.

Since joining the interior design industry, Barrie has developed into a confident leader and trusted partner. She works closely with Marni in every stage of the business—from initial planning and sourcing to scheduling, managing timelines, and overseeing installations. Her business acumen is matched only by her artistic insight, making her an ideal collaborator.
